Authentication is required for IMAP, POP3, and SMTP.
Notes:
- IMAP leaves the emails on your hosted account, allowing you to access the emails from multiple devices eg PC, Laptop, Phone.
- POP3 downloads the emails onto your email client, this usually deletes the emails on your hosted account
- We recommend that you use Secure SSL/TLS for IMAP or POP3 because they provide increased security for your interactions with the remote mail server.
